Privacy
Your photo never leaves your device
SelfPassPhoto edits your photo inside your browser. It is not uploaded, stored or seen by us.
What happens to your photo
- When you choose a photo or take a selfie, it is read into your browser's memory.
- Cropping, background replacement, checks and the final file are all produced on your device.
- When you close or refresh the tab, the photo is gone.
How you can check
- Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the tool. You will not see your photo being sent anywhere.
- Once the page has loaded, turn on airplane mode and try again. The tool keeps working.
- Our security policy blocks the tool page from making outside connections.
What we do collect
Payment is handled by our payment provider, which receives the details needed to take payment and a receipt email. It never receives your photo. Any analytics we add will be privacy-friendly and will never include your image.
The honest limits
Because everything runs on your device, we cannot recover a photo for you after you close the tab, and the download lock is a convenience rather than unbreakable security. We think that is the right trade for your privacy.
